Great news! Dacia has revealed photos and details of the new 2010 Dacia Duster. Oh how we loved that running joke on Top Gear until it got stale.
For those of you who have not heard of Dacia, it’s a Romanian car company that built the now-famous to Top-Gear audiences the Dacia Sandero. James May likes it.
As for the Duster, it’s an economy crossover. It’s powered a 1.5L 104 bgp diesel engine. Other engine options include a 1.6L gasoline and a weaker 84 bhp diesel.
Those power figures mean that this car wouldn’t have enough to deal with some offroading but that just makes this a spacier city car.
Dacia might want to work on their branding though. Duster just makes the cleaning implement come to mind rather than evoke a sense of speed.
